What is so special about Rex?
With the increasing pattern of fur revenue worldwide, I am noticing a new generation of fur types appearing onto the sales room of many fur shops and fashion boutiques. Obvisouly, mink is, and will remain to be the bestseller, but there is something that is relatively original and growing quickly, Rex Fur. Rex fur has for a long period been the accessory fur of choice for many years. In particular with scarves and hats and its predominantly interweaved together. But what is it and why is it rising in attractiveness?
Rex is hybrid between a Chinchilla and a rabbit. The benefit of combining both species has given the fur industry a much-needed renewed interest. Here are the reasons why:
1. Rex inherites from the Chinchilla a fur that is extremely cozy, hence why people like to wear it near their face and neck. Plus chinchilla has the benefit of being more durable than rabbit, so it keeps its elegance for a extended time and does not shed.
Second, like rabbits, rex breeds extremely quickly, making the supply always available. In addition, Rex is farmed raised and consumed for human food in certain parts of the world. To some, this aspect is considered significant.
3. Rex is relatively inexpensive versus the other traditional furs. For example, a Rex scarf will retail roughly $100 for a soft fur scarf. That kind of price makes rex more obtainable to a larger number of people.
The end result is that  Rex is turning out to be a very silky fur that everyone can buy.
